Sometimes He will do that, and sometimes He will ask us to step out in the faith we already possess. To increase means to "add to", so when we ask God to increase our faith, we are simply asking Him to add to our existing faith. That is exactly what the disciples did in Luke Chapter 17. The third key is to ask God to increase our faith. We receive God's Word by listening to our Pastor's sermons, attending Sunday school, Bible studies, our own devotional time and even music that glorifies Him.

In this case, "hearing" is actively listening, receiving and applying God's Word to our lives. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
